The United Nations Youth Association of the Philippines (UNYAP) did a citywide school to school campaign in Cagayan de Oro City to promote and enact GCAP’s “50-50 In My Name Campaign” which is a two-page pamphlet with a list of 50 individual actions which a person can commit to doing for at least 50 days. The person has the prerogative to choose which actions he/she can commit to or which actions apply to him/her. Included also is a portion for the individual to fill in personal information (hence the term “in my name”). This is “standing up” with action on an INDIVIDUAL level. The reason for this campaign is the belief that change has to start with the SELF, before bigger things can happen.

Participating Schools:

City High School – 1361

Liceo de Cagayan University High School – 165

MOGCHS – 880

Kong Hua High School – 315

Others – 275

The students totaled a surplus of 2751
