We are planning to organise free training sessions on the Web 2.0 in a public sitting, to empower the citizens on the discoveries of the ICT, and a TV panel discussion, pushing government to do something to bring down the high prices Internet Service Providers (ISP) impose on the citizens. One of the reasons poverty is high in our community is because people are unable to broadcast themselves. The WEB 2.0 is an opportunity not to miss, but unfortunately it is accessible to an insignificant percentage of the population, basically those who are rich. We strongly believe that if government can do something to bring down this sky rocketed prices; talents, projects, initiatives etc which today are buried because of economic hardship will be broadcasted through the web and surely many dreams will come to pass. An Open letter will be sent to the Governor, stating clearly our request and the impact a good decision from the government will have on the lives of the citizens.
The YOUTH EMPLOYMENT FUND this year will mobilise about 300 youth to stand up against poverty. this will be in the form of seminars, and workshops.

With the support of the Ministry of External Relations (MINREX), a march of about 5 to 7 kms is planned as a tool for the promotion of the MDGs, with a special focus on the “STAND UP” as a reminder for the commitment of the States. This march will gather together the Ministry of External Relations and other Ministries, Diplomatic Corps, several UN head of Agencies, other development partners, students from various high schools and Universities, other high rank officials as well as a multitude, plus UN staffs. The STAND UP video and the music will be displayed all along the event.
